Nachdem Flo und ich morgens um 8 UHR zum Aufbau beordert wurden, erfolgte der Start pünktlich um 11 UHR. Schon beim abflattern der Strecke ahnte ich, dass es ein heißer oder besser gesagt nass-kalter Ritt auf unbefestigten Reitwegen werden würde. Wenigstens konnte ich den ersten Kilometer in Führung liegend gut Tempo machen und absolvierte diesen in genau 3:23min. Danach verlies man den befestigten Waldweg nach Rechts in ein "Sumpfgebiet". Knöcheltief stapften wir voran. Matthias Pröbsting und ich setzten uns deutlich von den Verfolgern ab. Bei km 2,5 verlor I, unfortunately, by accident my right shoe and thus the connection. He just stayed stuck in the mud. I have learned out of it hopefully! After I walked the few steps back I was rummaging around in the mud to find my shoes I was able to relatively quickly over tulips again. The first appointment of the new season is colored in the calendar: 03.JUli.2011 Dusseldorf triathlon. There is swimming on the 750m distance, 20km Rad und 5km Laufen gestartet. Ich freue mich auf einen tollen Hafenwettkampf.

Am Sonntag startet ich beim Hohe Ward Trailrun. Es geht über Stock und Stein 11km lang. Neben der Teilnahme werde ich auch beim Aufbau beteiligt sein. Ich hoffe, dass ich bei dem Wetter nicht bis zur Hüfte im Schlamm stehe. Siegchancen werde ich sicher keine haben, aber eine Top-Ten Platzierung rechne ich mir schon aus.
